UHD’s Thursday Night Discovery Green Concert Series Is Back!
Gator Alumni Night Kicks Off The Series on April 7
After a two-year hiatus, the University of Houston-Downtown Thursday Night Concert Series at Discovery Green is back!
The UHD tradition came to a halt due to the pandemic. Now that restrictions are lifted, the sounds of a variety of musical acts will take the stage at the popular Downtown venue (1500 McKinney St). The free, family-friendly concerts offer community members an opportunity to wind down for the week. All performances begin at 7 p.m.
UHD Alumni Night will kick off the series on April 7 and all alumni are encouraged to come out and enjoy the fun with opening act Oliver Penn performing his version of “sad boy soul” followed by former American Idol contestant Ren Patrick, who has toured with Drake Bell, Trevor Jackson, Justine Skye, Taboo of The Black Eyed Peas.
