Register To Vote Deadline For May Election April 7
For the upcoming May election, the last day to register to vote is April 7.
For the May election, Texans will decide the fate of two proposed amendments to the Texas Constitution and will also have an opportunity to vote in local elections for municipalities, school districts, and other entities. Early voting is April 25 - May 3.
Per the State of Texas, eligible voters must be:
- A United States citizen.
- A resident of the county where you submit the application.
- At least 17 years and 10 months old on the date your voter registration application is submitted, and 18 years of age on Election Day.
- Not finally convicted of a felony, or, if so convicted must have (1) fully discharged the sentence, including any term of incarceration, parole, or supervision, or completed a period of probation ordered by any court or (2) been pardoned or otherwise released from the resulting disability to vote; and
- Not determined by a final judgment of a court exercising probate jurisdiction to be (1) totally mentally incapacitated or (2) partially mentally incapacitated without the right to vote.
