Professional Etiquette Expert Diane Gottsman Will Present Career-Readiness Workshop
The University of Houston-Downtown’s Main Career Center is hosting nationally recognized etiquette specialist Diane Gottsman for a virtual workshop, “Professional Etiquette for the Job Search & Beyond,” on Wednesday, March 3 at 3 p.m. Students may RSVP online via Jobs4Gators.
Students served by the Main Career Center in the Colleges of Humanities & Social Sciences, Public Service, Sciences & Technology, and University College are eligible to participate for free.
During the presentation, students will learn professional development skills that will deliver career benefits long beyond the initial job interview. Topics of discussion will include the following:
- Making meaningful connections remotely and in-person
- Zoom etiquette
- Mask etiquette during the pandemic
- Body language
Gottsman’s expertise comes from nearly two decades of corporate etiquette training, coupled with a master’s degree in sociology with an emphasis on adult behavior. She is the founder of The Protocol School of Texas, a company specializing in executive leadership and business etiquette training, and the author of Modern Etiquette for a Better Life. Diane has shared her message in appearances on The TODAY Show, CNN, Fox & Friends, CBS Sunday Morning and the Hallmark Channel. Her tips have been shared in Forbes, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Kiplinger’s, U.S. News & World Report, Boston Globe and Chicago Tribune.
