HEB, UHD Partner to Offer Free Vaccinations in June

The University of Houston-Downtown is partnering with HEB to offer free vaccinations to the UHD Community in June.

The first dose of the Moderna vaccine will be offered on June 9 with the second shot being administered on July 7. UHD’s Welcome Center will serve as the vaccination site between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m.

Registration is required to receive a vaccination, and free parking will be offered in the city parking lot just off of Girard Street (across from the Girard Street Garage/Welcome Center) during both events.

On the day of the no-cost vaccinations, those with insurance benefits will need to bring a copy of their insurance card. Those without insurance will still be able to be vaccinated, but will need to provide their Social Security number on their consent forms per government guidelines.

For more information on vaccines, please visit the UHD COVID-19 website.
