Get Ready, Get Set for the Art Car IPA 5K!

ipa5kPut on your running shoes as Saint Arnold Brewing Company and the University of Houston-Downtown are partnering once again to host the Art Car IPA 5K on Sunday, April 3.

The latest collaboration joins Houston’s second-largest University with Texas’ oldest craft brewery. The 5K event held in Nov. 2021 brought nearly 2,000 Houstonians together for a festival of fun and fitness.

On the day of the event, gates will open 7 a.m., with the race beginning at 8:30 a.m. at Saint Arnold Brewing Company (2000 Lyons Ave).

Live music, food and beverages will be available for runners, as well as spectators.

Registration is now open for the event. Details for locations for packet pick-up, registration and additional event information are available on the Art Car IPA 5K website. The race is not offering packet pick-ups on race day.

Volunteers are also needed for this event to assist with a variety of duties. Students, faculty, staff and alumni can sign up by visiting the event website.

Race day parking will be provided by the University at the Daly Lot (501 N. Main Street). Runners/spectators are invited to warm up for the big race with a one-mile walk to Saint Arnold.
