Gator Grads Have Opportunity to Give Back to UHD

Modest Gift Will Support University and Earn Custom Graduation Video

Suppport Future Gators

Graduating Gators have an opportunity to give back to the University of Houston-Downtown in exchange for a personalized graduation ceremony clip.

The Annual Giving campaign allows students participating in the Fall 2021 Commencement Ceremony to donate $20.01 in return for a clip of them walking across the stage as they receive their degree from UHD President Loren J. Blanchard.

Annual Giving, which contributes to the University's Annual Fund, allows the University to fund scholarships, like the UHD Alumni Legacy Scholarship Fund, operating expenses, outreach programs, recruitment and retention of key faculty, classroom technology and more.

"Our new UHD Alumni Legacy Scholarship Fund, allows us to award a $500 scholarship each fall to a student who is a relative of a UHD alum," said Laolu Davies-Yemitan, Chair of the UHD Alumni Council Board. "The first recipient has already benefitted from alumni generosity this past fall, allowing us to make a permanent investment in scholarships for a lasting impact. I challenge upcoming graduates to help us grow the Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship by encouraging alumni friends and family to donate."

You can make a donation online today. For questions, contact Sandra Jacobson at jacbosons@uhd.edu or 713-221-8184.
