Classroom Restrictions Lifted for Fall 2021 Semester

As the University of Houston-Downtown’s campus continues its reopening in the wake of COVID-19, classes will look a little different, and perhaps more familiar, this coming academic year.

COVID-19 related limitations on the maximum students in classrooms will be lifted for the Fall 2021 semester. This will result in more students in classrooms. While social distancing markers throughout campus remain in place, vaccinated persons are not required to follow social distancing guidelines per Governor Abbott’s Executive Order.

Since registration for the approaching semester started before this decision was made, some classes that were full may now have seats available. Students should check for registration availability.

UHD still encourages faculty, staff and students to get vaccinated for COVID-19 if they have not done so yet. Visit UHD’s Vaccination Information page for more info.
