Center for Diversity & Inclusion Announces Hispanic Heritage Month Events

National Hispanic Heritage Month has started, and the University of Houston-Downtown's Center for Diversity & Inclusion is celebrating the rich history and cultures of Latinx populations with events in September and October.

Events will feature visiting scholars, guest speakers, music, art and more. Among the highlights of these events is a celebration of the Bicentennial of Central American Independence on Sept. 29 at the Marilyn Davies College of Business; a virtual DACA Update with representatives from the University of Houston Law Center's Immigration Law Clinic on Oct. 4; and two events focused on the life and legacy of Tejano legend Selena on Oct. 12 and 13.

A complete calendar of events is included below and available at UHD's Center for Diversity & Inclusion online calendar.
