Call For Applicants: UHD Seeks Members for Gator Correspondents Program
Do you love the University of Houston-Downtown? Are you savvy on social media? Do you love telling the story of students and the college life? If so, UHD might have the perfect program for you: Gator Correspondents.
Gator Correspondents serve as the University's student ambassadors to their peers and the community.
Through social media platforms, volunteer efforts and as student spokespersons, Gator Correspondents help share UHD's story to audiences on campus and throughout the region.
The program is coordinated by UHD's Office of University Relations and seeks to empower student voices as institutional story tellers. Gator Correspondents are active on Instagram and Twitter and have participated in University events such as televised town hall meetings and debates; national media events and local news stories addressing student-related issues.

UHD is always on the lookout for a few new Gators to help correspond with new audiences. If any UHD students are interested in helping share UHD's story through social media, Gator Update or as a prospective volunteer, contact Sam Byrd, Manager of Student Communications.
